Dear Prayer and Fasting Partners,

Thank you for praying for our ministry. Fall is approaching rapidly and with this will come the starting of three new churches across the region. I am excited about what is taking place and preparations continue to be made toward the start of each of these churches / sites. Here are some of the things I’d like for you to pray for this month:

Lifeline Christian Church (Algonquin, IL): We have a confirmed meeting place for this church, it will launch in October at the Brunswick Zone just south of Algonquin Road. Please thank God for this location and be praying for the two gathering events that will be taking place at the Zone on September 8 and 22nd. Dave Rudin has also asked that we pray for 3 small groups that will come from these events. Dave continues to make contacts in that region and people are talking about the new church that is coming.

Suncrest (Highland, IN): Jared Mehrle is leading this plant and they are going to be meeting at Highland Christian School. Please be praying for their fundraising efforts and for the launch team as they prepare for a September 26th start. Also lift up the unchurched people in that region who will be touched by this new church.

Suncrest (South Bend, IN): Andy Kasar is leading this plant and they are going to be meeting at Walkerton Elementary School. They are mobilizing their launch team and I know they would appreciate your prayers for the unchurched in the area as they work toward the September 26th birth of the church.

Sam Barnhart: Sam’s back surgery went very well and he and Angela will be traveling to Chicagoland in late August to look over the O’Hare Airport region. I’d like you to pray for his continued physical recovery and for them to find the place that best “fits” them when they come to explore the area.

Cluster Planting: I have begun to talk with potential cluster partners about this new method for starting churches. I have presented the cluster idea to three churches and all of them are interested in learning more and possibly being involved. (Remember our “numbers” from early in the year, we are praying for 6 cluster partners to initiate this method.)

Pipeline for Planters: We made some potential church planter contacts in Orlando (April) and the NACC (June). Pray for these individuals as they think about coming to Chicagoland in the future to start new churches with Ignite. Having the right lead planter is still the most critical piece for every new church plant.

Our prayers do make a difference and I thank you for “standing in the gap”. (Ezekiel 22: 30)
